Jason House is a 45m2 red roofed bungalow set in a large 2000m2 olive grove with a great view of the sea and the scattered islands.
You will find Jason House close to the fishing village of Votsi but high up in the hills about 75 metres above sea level. The house is situated right on the big network of hiking trails on the island and you can walk to several beaches nearby in 15-30 minutes.
The owner of the house, Bente Keller, has written two guide books about the island, Alonnisos on Foot and The Alonnisos Guide. Both books are free to use in the house and can be taken home as a gift if you like them.
Attention!! 4 tame cats live in the garden and Bente comes by every day to feed them.

Jason House is a 45m2 red roofed bungalow set in a large 2000m2 olive grove. Just below the house in the olive grove there is a private gym area (38m2) that you can freely use during your stay.
Both from the house, the veranda and the garden there is a fantastic view of the sea, green hills and the fishing village of Votsi.
The footpath that passes down along the olive grove is connected to the island’s widespread network of footpaths as well as to the nearby villages of Votsi (5 min.) and the harbour of Patitiri (15 min.). Supermarkets in both villages.
You reach the house by car following an earth road that goes in to the right at a certain point along the main road between the harbour of Patitiri and the Old Village. The road takes you all the way to the house. There are only a few other houses in the area.
If you don’t rent a car Bente can deliver heavy shopping to the house.
The bedroom has a desk, a wardrobe and a double bed (150cmx200cm) from which you have the view of the sea. There are balcony doors to the veranda. If you want to sleep in separate beds the sofa in the living room is an ordinary bed with a good mattress which we can make into an extra bed if desired.
The family room is an open kitchen with a dining table, a desk and a living room. There are balcony doors to the veranda. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, a big refrigerator with a separate deep freezer, electric cooker, toaster, coffee machine, electric boiler and other useful things for cooking.

The veranda: The 25m2 covered veranda serves as an outdoor dining area, and from here you have a great view of the sea with the scattered islands, the green hills, the village of Votsi and the garden.
Description of the garden: The large 2000m2 garden is an old olive grove separated into 4 terraces by stonewalls, on account of the incline of the land. The terraces are connected to each other by beautiful stone steps. Under the big trees you find shade and here you can arrange the outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy your drink or meal.
There are two big old fig trees in the garden, one that has black figs in July and one that has green figs in August; you are free to consume them.
On one of the terraces, just below the house, there is a 38m2 private gym area.

Cleaning of the house:
The house is cleaned once a week including a full change of sheets, covers and towels. We leave extra towels for you to change them yourself one more time during the week. You have to carry your daily rubbish to the nearest bin. You will find many along the main asphalt road. The green ones are for general rubbish and the blue ones for plastics. We clean the house when you leave.

From Jason House you can reach on foot different villages and beaches within between 5-30 minutes.
Beaches
A little outside Votsi you find two lovely beaches hidden in the bay of Spartines. They are both surrounded by steep, yellow-white rocks and pine-woods. The one nearest to Votsi is covered with gravel and sand, while the beach further on in the bay is covered with stones and pebbles.
On the other side of the island at the northwest coast you will find the beach of Tsoukalia. This is a long and beautiful beach placed in the middle of the rough landscape. It is covered with stones but close to the sea you can find a good sandy stretch.
The three bays of Votsi, Rousoum and Patitiri
The footpath that passes just outside the olive grove takes you down to the small fishing village of Votsi in 5 minutes (supermarket). If you continue down through the village you end at the harbour with its small tavernas, charming fishing boats and extraordinary turquoise coloured water. There’s a small beach here where you can have a swim.
Rousoum is the neighbouring bay to Votsi and only 15 minutes on foot from the house. It consists of a nice beach with gravel and sand and is surrounded by rocks and pine trees hanging over the edges towards the water. Just behind the beach you’ll find tavernas and cafés. From here you can continue to Patitiri (10 minutes) which is situated in the next bay.
Patitiri is the main harbour and village of the island and here you can find all kinds of food stores, tavernas, cafés and souvenir shops. There’s also a village beach with gravel and sand where you can swim. If you want to reach Patitiri directly from the house you follow a path that takes you to an asphalt road and from here down to the harbour (15 minutes).
